What is a Nurse Navigator
Our Nurse Navigator is a key member of your support team. She serves as your "guardian angel" from day one. She follows you through your treatment, which may include surgery, chemo therapy, radiation therapy, physical therapy, and additional imaging. She attends all of the clinical case conferences when your case is being review. She helps schedule your appointments, and sends reminders to assist you in staying on top of your schedule. She can also put you in direct contact with support groups and events.
In short, she handles all the paperwork and details so you can focus on what’s most important: you and your fight against cancer.
